I am Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) in French Linguistics and Translation Studies at the University of Catania, Department of Political and Social Sciences. My academic journey includes an MA in Comparative Literature from Sorbonne, a PhD in “History and Semiology of Text and Images” from USPC Paris, and postdoctoral experience at UZH Zurich. I am a proud twice recipient of the Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Fellowship (Global and European), with extensive experience in grant writing and managing transnational agreements. My firsthand experience with various significant funding programs (including Banting, Newton, INTERREG, and ERC Grants) has equipped me with the insights to guide over 50 researchers to grant success.
Roberta Ferritto
Consultant in Grant Writing
I am a Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Action Global Research Fellow and PI of the EU-funded CLaRMaV project (No. 101106554) at the University of Bologna and University of Pennsylvania (USA). My research field is archaeology, and I am currently the Ancient Architectural Specialist of ‘The Casa della Regina Carolina Project at Pompeii’. I worked as assistant researcher at Kiel University (Germany) and at the University of Reading in the UK where I was also Sessional Lecturer while doing my PhD in Classics. I completed my BA at the University of Florence and my MA studies at La Sapienza University of Rome in Archaeology, followed by an MA-II Level in Architecture. During my academic career, I have acquired vast experience in grant writing and have been the recipient of numerous scholarships, including the prestigious British government AHRC scholarship that funded my doctoral project. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience working actively as postdoc on an ERC Grant project, further enhancing my knowledge in grant management and project coordination. Over the years, I have offered English and Italian language copy-editing and translation services from English and German to Italian. I offer my consultancy in Italian and English.

I have extensive academic and professional experience in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language (L2). I obtained an MA in "Linguistics and Teaching Italian in the International Context" from the University of Salerno and the Universität des Saarlandes in Saarbrücken. Subsequently, I specialized further through a Certified Second-Level Master's degree in "Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language" at the University of Naples L'Orientale. After working at the General Consulate of Italy in Munich, I began my doctoral studies (PhD) in Linguistics and Digital Humanities at the University of Bologna. Over the years, as an independent consultant, I have specialized in teaching Italian in corporate and institutional settings, refining my contrastive and communicative teaching techniques in German-speaking and English-speaking areas.

Additionally, as a Europroject Designer and Coordinator, I possess over a decade of expertise in managing both National and European VET and EDUVET programs.
